ALGIERS- Minister of Industry and Mines Abdessalam Bouchouareb on Monday underlined the importance of creating an Algerian-Polish business council to boost economic and industrial partnership between the two countries.
The body is meant to be a “proactive area for exchanges” that would facilitate partnerships in major projects, the miniser said in an audience he granted to the deputy minister at Poland’s ministry of Economic Development, Radoslav Domagalski, on a visit to Algiers.
During the discussions between the two officials, Bouchouareb expressed Algeria’s willingness to develop joint investments with Poland, according to a ministry’s statement.
The minister also stressed the importance for companies of the two countries to share the same interests to develop their potentialities, achieve complementarity and embark on co-production to penetrate together African and MENA (Middle East and North Africa) markets.
“We are currently Poland’s second partner and we seek to become the first,” Bouchouareb stressed.
