Algeria-France: Signed agreements give fresh impetus to partnership

ALGIERS- Three economic agreements have been signed Sunday in Algiers between Algeria and France, giving a fresh impetus to cooperation between the two countries, said Minister of Industry and Mines Youcef Yousfi,
with French Minister for the Economy and Finance, Bruno Le Maire.
Following the 4th session of the Algerian-French Joint Economic Committee (COMEFA), Yousfi said that his talks with Le Maire have allowed identifying “certain progress” in the partnership between the two countries.
Yousfi has expressed big satisfaction with the signing of those agreements by Algeria and France, including in the industrial field.
Algeria and France signed a shareholders’ agreement between the PMO Group of Constantine, Condor Group, Palpa Pro and PSA Peugeot for the production of vehicles in Algeria.
Moreover, a Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of a consortium for the export of Algerian fruits and vegetables to Europe, and a partnership in the field of Bio agricultural products between the Algerian Group Agromed and the French company Agrolog.
The two parties also signed a shareholder agreement between Elec El Djazair, the Gica Group (cement works) and the Schneider Group in the field of manufacturing of low, medium and high voltage electrical equipment.
