Lamamra received by Tunisian President, as President Tebboune’s special envoy

ALGIERS- Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra paid a working visit to Tunisia as the special envoy of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during which he was received by
President Kais Saied, the ministry said in a statement.

“As a special envoy of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra paid a working visit to the brotherly country Tunisia where he was received by President Kais Saied,” said the source.

In this regard, the minister “transmitted the greetings of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to his brother President Kais Saied to whom he handed over a message of fraternity that is part of the permanent contact between the leaders of the two countries driven by a common interests to raise the bilateral cooperation relations up to better horizons and deepen the tradition of consultations and coordination,” said the source.

The meeting enabled the two sides “to examine the prospects of joining efforts in order to implement the decisions adopted by the Arab leaders in the Arab Summit in Algiers,” added the statement.

After discussing the current situation on the regional scene amidst the political and economic challenges imposed by the international tensions, the two sides underlined a convergence of views and positions between the two brotherly countries on common threats and ways to address them.

Lamamra held talks with his Tunisian counterpart Othmane Jerandi with whom he discussed the next events interesting the two countries at the bilateral and multilateral levels, said the source.
