ALGIERS- Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum said Tuesday that the ministerial meeting held in Togo was an opportunity to establish bilateral contacts with many African counterparts and officials of the United Nations (UN),
the African Union (AU) and the Economic Community of Western African States (ECOWAS), stressing the need to revive cooperation among African countries to face the common challenges.
“We need to develop the frameworks for joint cooperation in order to face the common challenges,” Boukadoum, who took part on Monday in the work of the second ministerial meeting of the support group for transition in Mali, said in a tweet.
The Foreign Minister said that the meeting had made it possible to assess the implementation of the Algiers Peace and Reconciliation Agreement.
He also reiterated the importance of international support, emphasizing the need to preserve a Mali-Mali process in the best interests of the Malian people.
