These memoranda of understanding were signed in the fields of the protection of plants and plant quarantine, sanitary veterinary field and health, said the Energy Ministry in a communiqué.
Other projects, whose discussions are still underway, will be signed after their completion, added the source.
On this occasion, the two sides welcomed the content of the works which were an opportunity to “deepen the political dialogue, review the state of the bilateral cooperation and ways to strengthen it, as well as to have an exchange on regional and international issues of common interest.”
They called “to make the necessary efforts so that the joint committee will be able to hold meetings regularly within the context of a permanent dialogue between the two governments as well as the business communities of the two countries,” said the source.
The joint committee is also considered by the two sides as “a mechanism of economic dialogue par excellence intended to boost the cooperation and trading between the two countries.”
On this occasion, Guitouni said that “they broached important and constructive issues. I welcome particularly the friendship ties between our two countries whose shared willingness is to give a new impetus to our relation, an impetus even stronger for the promotion and strengthening of the cooperation and partnership between Algeria and Malta.”
According to him, the relations between Algeria and Malta are “deep and historical,” adding that “our two countries have friendly, trustful and cooperative relations.”
