Indonesia works to strengthen its “historic ties” with Algeria

ALGIERS- The Speaker of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly Zulkifli Hasan affirmed Tuesday that his country works for the strengthening of its “historic ties” with Algeria.
Zulkifli said, upon his arrival at Houari Boumediene airport where he was welcomed by the Speaker of the Council of the Nation Abdelkader Bensalah, that Indonesia and Algeria are united by “deep historic ties,” underlining that this visit aims at “strengthening the bilateral relations at the parliamentary and governmental levels.”
He added that this visit “will also allow giving a new impetus to the brotherly relations between the two countries through the intensification of the economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.”
Speaker of the Council of the Nation Abdelkader Bensalah said that the visit of the Indonesian official to Algiers aims at “strengthening the bilateral relations and ties between the two countries’ parliaments.”
