Sahrawi President welcomes Algeria’s “unfailing, unqualified” support to Sahrawi cause

ALGIERS- Sahrawi President Mohamed Abdelaziz hailed Sunday, in Algiers, Algeria’s “unfailing and unqualified” support to the Sahrawi cause in accordance with the United Nations’ resolutions and international law.
“We would like to point out that the President Bouteflika was the first Arab and Algerian head of State to visit the Sahrawi people to reaffirm to them Algeria’s support,” said Mohamed Abdelaziz following the audience that was granted to him by President of the Republic.
“Today, he asked us to pass on his salutations and consideration to the Sahrawi people, reaffirming Algeria’s unfailing and unqualified support to the just Sahrawi cause, in accordance with the United Nations’ resolutions and international law for the recovery of their national and legitimate rights to self-determination and independence through a free and democratic referendum,” he added.
In this regard, Abdelaziz said that President Bouteflika reaffirmed “Algeria’s determination to further strengthen relations with the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) as a brotherly and neighbouring country.”
Sahrawi president said that the meeting “allowed him to inform President Bouteflika about the latest developments of the Sahrawi issue and review the strong bilateral relations between the Sahrawi Republic and Algeria and prospects to develop them.”
