(English) Boukadoum received in Nairobi by President Kenyatta

ALGIERS – Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum has been received on Friday, in Nairobi, President of Kenyan Uhuru Kenyatta, said a statement from the Foreign Ministry.
Boukadoum “conveyed to the Kenyan President the distinguished and fraternal greetings of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, reaffirming his firm willingness to strengthen the partnership between the two countries and to stimulate a new dynamic to bilateral cooperation,” added the ministry.
President Uhuru Kenyatta recalled the “deep historical ties that unite the two brotherly countries and peoples, anchored in their struggle for decolonization and emancipation, and marked by the long-standing privileged relations of solidarity, friendship and mutual support.”
He expressed its “desire to enhance bilateral cooperation in its political, security, economic and cultural dimensions”.

During the meeting, the officials examined regional and international issues of common interest, in particular those related to “security and development in Africa”.
In this regard, they voiced “satisfaction with the convergence of views and positions which are the fruit of regular consultation” between the two countries.
In this regard, the Minister praised Kenya’s “stabilizing role in the East African region, and as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.”
President Kenyatta “requested from the Minister to convey to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, his best regards and his sincere wishes for personal health and well-being and more progress and prosperity to the Algerian people,” concluded the ministry.
