AfCFTA: Rezig takes part in 8th meeting of Council of Trade Ministers in Accra

ALGIERS-The Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig will take part in 8th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Trade of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA),
scheduled for 28-29 January in Accra (Ghana), the Ministry said Wednesday in a statement.
Rezig will participate in person in this ministerial meeting devoted to the adoption of the recommendations of the 10th meeting of the Committee of Senior Trade Officials of the African Continental Zone held from 24 to 27 January, said the source.
The recommendations relate mainly to the rules of origin still pending, including textiles and clothing, and access to African markets for the effective launch of trade.
The meeting will discuss the draft decision on the AfCFTA to be submitted to the 35th Ordinary Session of the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU).
A ministerial meeting is scheduled on 28 to provide the necessary guidance on the outstanding rules of origin relating to automotive products and textiles.
