ORAN-Some 350 exhibitors and 3,500 trade visitors are expected to attend the 7th International Agri-Food Industries Exhibition (SIAG) and the first edition of the “Pack Expo” Packaging Exhibition,
which will be held simultaneously on 27-30 March 2019 at the Oran Convention Centre (CCO) “Ahmed Benahmed”, “Expoline” agency announced Tuesday.
Speaking at a press conference held at the headquarters of Oran’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIO), Mahmoud El Hanni, Manager of Expoline agency, organizer of the event, said that these two exhibitions will be attended by exhibitors and visitors from 15 countries including Saudi Arabia, China, Spain, France, Turkey, Italy and Poland.
“In a few years, the SIAG has become the essential meeting point for all professionals in the agro-industrial sector, through the number, diversity and quality of national and international exhibitors. They will also exchange views and experiences in various areas,” stressed El Hanni.
The SIAG 2019 will be exceptional because it will also host +Pack Expo+, Algeria’s first packaging exhibition and three forums on the production of milk and its derivatives, quality management and new packaging techniques.
These specialized forums will also include panel conferences and TV debates on the market situation, involving regulators, businessmen and renowned experts in the presence of an informed audience, said the source.
Vice-president of the CCIO, Ait Habib, said that the chamber has drawn up an important action plan that should greatly benefit economic operators in Oran and the entire western region.
The two exhibitions organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fishing, the CCIO and the Ministry of Industry and Mines.
