APS : Monday, 14 November 2016
ALGIERS- The African Investment and Business Forum, scheduled from 3 to 5 December in Algiers, should allow promoting the Algerian companies and improving the attractiveness of Algeria for foreign direct investments, said Sunday in Algiers the head of the Business Leaders Forum (FCE) Ali Haddad.
This forum will be “an opportunity to promote our economy, companies and our products as well as to improve Algeria’s attractiveness in terms of foreign direct investments,” he underlined in a meeting with the members of the employers’ organization for the preparation for this economic meeting which will be marked by the participation of more than 2,000 economic operators.
Haddad, who called on the Algerian operators to get mobilized for the success of this event, affirmed that this business meeting will open new prospects to the Algerian product, because “the economic crisis facing our country allowed us to become aware of the need to have an economy open to Africa.”
In this regard, he called for the implementation of “a comprehensive strategy for the presence of Algeria in Africa where it is already deeply involved at the diplomatic level.”
Vice-President of the employers’ organization Brahim Benabdeslam underlined that to turn our national economy towards the African markets, an economic strategy should be implemented.
The participant also suggested the creation of an Algerian investment fund devoted to Africa, allowing the support and funding of Algerian operators’ projects in Africa.
