Guitouni holds talks with Danish Foreign Minister on energy cooperation

ALGIERS- Minister of Energy Mustapha Guitouni received Monday, in Algiers, Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs Anders Samuelsen with whom he discussed ways to strengthen the bilateral cooperation in energy,
said a ministerial communiqué.
The two sides broached the business and investment opportunities as well as ways to share the experiences between the two countries and strengthen the bilateral relations, notably in the field of hydrocarbons and renewable energies, said the source.
Guitouni presented an overview of the Algerian energy policy and upstream oil and gas opportunities as well as in the field of petrochemistry, processing industries and renewable energies.
In this regard, he insisted on Algeria’s willingness to work to better develop its resources in hydrocarbons and to explore and exploit its mining heritage in hydrocarbons.
Minister of Energy underlined the partnership projects that can be concluded in the field of renewable energies in Algeria.
According to him, the win-win partnership between the Algerian and Danish companies in Algeria represents a real vehicle of socio-economic development and an opportunity to foresee the fruitful business and investment opportunities in the medium and long term in high added value fields, added the communiqué.
For his part, Danish Foreign minister said he is “very optimistic about the development of an advantageous partnership” and pleased for the good business prospects between Algeria and Denmark in the fields of hydrocarbons, windmill and solar energy.
