ORAN-The international textile and design Fair « Textile-expo » opened Sunday at the Convention Centre in Oran (CCO) “Mohamed Benahmed”, with the participation of 150 national and foreign exhibitors.
Forty Algerian public and private companies and 80 exhibitors from Tunisia, Portugal, Italy, Turkey, China, India and the United States of America (USA), said organizers.
In a statement to the press, the Governor of Oran Abdelghani Zaalane recalled that the textile sector is one of the fields advocated by the Investment Code and the efforts made by public authorities to revive this activity.
Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Mines and the province of Oran, the fair aims to showcase the national product and provide a space for the exchange of experience between Algerian manufacturers and their foreign counterparts on the development of the textile industry and discover the knowhow of foreigners in the field of textile, leather and fashion, said the source.
The program of this event includes conferences held by experts on innovation in the field of textile, technological solutions in the fields of textile, leather and clothes, the latest in fashion, as well as partnership and complementarity between Algeria and Tunisia in the fields of textile, clothes, emerging businesses and innovations in the sector.
