ALGIERS- President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune received Sunday at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, member of the political bureau and director of the bureau of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Yang Jiechi, who began a two-day official visit to Algeria on Saturday evening.
Jiechi leads a large delegation, including the president of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), Wang Xiaotao.
This visit is part of the exchanges between officials of the two countries with a view to “strengthening” and “promoting” ties of friendship and cooperation between Algeria and China.
The meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, allowed assessing the cooperation relations between the two countries and means to strengthen and promote them, notably in the economic sector.
It was also an opportunity to exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest, as well as on the continuation of the coordination and solidarity as part of the fight against Covid-19 pandemic, added the source.
The audience was marked by the presence, on the Algerian side, of Principal Private Secretary to the Presidency of the Republic, as well as ministers of Foreign Affairs, Finance, Public Works and Transport, said the source.
