President Tebboune receives invitation from PM Dendias to visit Greece

ALGIERS- President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received, Thursday morning at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, Greek Foreign Minister, Nicos Dendias, the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement.
“At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Republic received an invitation from Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, to pay an official visit to Greece, which he accepted.
The date of this visit will be fixed at a later stage with the agreement of both parties,” the source said.
The talks “focused on the privileged bilateral relations in the political field. However, these relations require a strong impetus in the economic field in order to exploit the capacities and potentialities of both countries”, the same source added.
During their meeting, the two parties “exchanged views on the situation in the region, particularly in Libya,” said the Presidency noting “a convergence of views between Algeria and Greece on the rejection of any foreign military intervention, with a view to
helping the Libyan people regain security and peace, through political dialogue between the warring parties, in the light of the agreement of the Berlin conference, in accordance with international legality.”
