The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Lounes Magramane, signed on Monday at the headquarters of the Indonesian Embassy in Algiers the condolence book following the death of Hamzah Haz, former 9th Vice-President of the Republic of Indonesia, a brotherly country.

It is with immense sadness and deep sorrow that we learned of the passing of the former 9th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, a brotherly country, Hamzah Haz.

The Republic of Indonesia has lost an exceptional figure who greatly marked the political scene of this brotherly country, particularly during his vice-presidency from 2001 to 2004.

He noted that before this role, the deceased had a remarkable activity within the United Development Party (PPP), where he left his mark on policy-making and defining political orientations from the era of President Suharto through the early 2000s.

We once again extend our condolences and assure you of Algeria’s backing and solidarity with the Government and the brotherly Indonesian people.
