(English) Algeria, Malta express satisfaction with quality of bilateral relations

ALGIERS – Algeria and Malta expressed Tuesday their satisfaction with the quality of bilateral relations, during a periodic meeting of Algerian-Maltese political consultations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad in a statement.
Amar Belani, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community abroad co-chaired Tuesday in Algiers, with Christopher Cutajar, Permanent Secretary of the Maltese Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and Trade, the periodic meeting of Algerian-Maltese political consultations, said the source.
During this meeting, the two parties “discussed the state of bilateral relations, as well as means to further promote them in terms of political and economic reforms implemented by Algeria and the new realities imposed by the geopolitical and economic global environment,” the source added.
Belani and Cutajar expressed their “satisfaction with the quality of bilateral relations and reiterated the joint commitment of Algeria and Malta to boost their economic and trade partnership,” according to the same source.
In this regard, the two officials agreed to convene the 6th session of the Joint Commission Algerian-Maltese in 2023, “to strengthen sectoral cooperation and exchanges between economic actors of both countries and take full advantage of the benefits granted by the new regulatory framework for investment in Algeria.
