ALGIERS- A tripartite meeting between Algeria, Egypt and Italy will take place in Algiers on Monday to examine the situation in Libya, said Sunday the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement.
The meeting, which is part of the consultations between the three countries, will bring together Minister of Maghreb Affairs, African Union and Arab League Abdelkader Messahel, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shukry and Italy’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni, said the statement.
“The ministers will also examine the situation in Libya and means likely to accelerate the inter-Libyan dialogue process, sponsored by the United Nations, to find a political solution leading to the formation of a national unity government,” said the Ministry’s statement.
It will be also an opportunity for the three ministers to discuss the implications of political and security instability in this country on its neighbourhood and in the region in general,” said the statement.
