President Bouteflika "strongly" condemns attack on care centre in Japan

ALGIERS – President Abdelaziz Bouteflika on Tuesday sent a message of condolence to Japan’s Emperor Akihito, in which he “strongly” condemned the “barbaric” attack that targeted a center for the mentally disabled in Sagamihara (Kanagawa).
19 people were killed and 25 others wounded in this attack.
“I received with deep sorrow the news of the barbaric attack which targeted a center for the mentally disabled in Sagamihara (Kanagawa),” wrote the President in his message.
“While strongly condemning this vile act, I present on behalf of the people and the government of Algeria and on my own behalf my deepest condolences and extend to the victims’ families, my deep sympathy in this painful ordeal, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured,” concluded the Head of State
President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika also sent a message to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, expressing the condemnation by Algeria of the “barbaric attack” which targeted a centre for mentally disables in Sagamihara (Kanagawa), killing 19 and injuring 25.
