ALGIERS- The relations between Algeria and Denmark are “strong,” said Tuesday the Danish minister of Foreign Affairs, Kristian Jensen, underlining that his visit to Algiers allowed to “further strengthening them.”
“We discussed the bilateral relations that are strong,” Jensen told the press at the end of the audience granted to him by the President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika.
Claiming to have had a “fruitful” meeting with the head of State, Jensen said that his visit to Algeria allowed “further strengthening the political, economic and trading relations between the two countries.”
For the Danish Foreign Minister, his stay in Algiers was also an opportunity for Danish businessmen to establish contacts with their Algerian counterparts.
He added that his meeting with the Head of State also focused on regional and international issues of common interest.
“Algeria and Denmark are working side by side in the fight against terrorism,” he said, hailing Algeria’s efforts in restoring peace and security in Mali and Libya.
