SIEERA 2020: Necessary support for micro-enterprises, green startups

ALGIERS – The 3rd International Fair for Environment and Renewable Energy “SIEERA 2020,” scheduled on March 9-11 in Algiers aims to support micro-enterprises and startups in order to execute their projects, said on Wednesday Minister of Environment and Renewable Energy Nassira Benharrats.
“Our goal is to support and help micro-enterprises and green startups to expand and make a name for themselves by offering them spaces to advertise their products and services,” said Benharrats in an interview with APS.
As part of the fair, “a B to B space will be set up in order to promote the future partnership agreements by the green startups,” she added.
Placed under the patronage of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Fair will be held under the slogan “Green startups: main driver of sustainable development and circular economy.”
It will bring together more than 130 public and private companies, agencies, institutions and several civil society associations as well as 5 foreign countries namely Germany, Spain, Turkey and France along with South Korea which is the edition’s guest of honor, said the minister.
South Korea will be represented by 17 companies and agencies.
Benharrats said that theme “Green Startups and circular economy” selected for this 3rd edition falls within the environment sector’s strategy defined in the Government’s action plan to boost investment and green entrepreneurship opportunities in the various sectors of the circular economy.
