Emir of Qatar stresses Algeria’s role in resolving conflicts

ALGIERS- Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani stressed Tuesday, in Algiers, “Algeria’s role at the regional and Arab levels” and its contribution to the “settlement of several conflicts.” In a statement to the press following his meeting with President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani said “we underline the role of Algeria at the regional and Arab levels,” adding that “Algeria has honorable history in resolving the conflicts in the region and the Arab world. We need Algeria today as the Arab world is unfortunately experiencing several crises.”
In this respect, he hoped “the success” of the next Arab summit that will be held in Algiers.
Concerning his talks with President Tebboune, he affirmed that it was “constructive and beneficial.” “We agreed on several points,” he stressed, expressing his determination to work “for the promotion of the bilateral relations in all fields, notably in economy and investment.”
