APS : Thursday, 30 January 2020
ALGIERS – Minister of Commerce, Kamel Rezig, and president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Sebha (Libya) Mansour Abdelkader Mohamed Dessertit, reviewed the ways and tools to promote
commercial exchanges between Algeria and Libya, said the ministry in a communiqué.
A meeting was held on the sidelines of last Tuesday’s Algerian-Libyan Business Forum in Algiers, during which Rezig insisted on the imperative of creating a space for commercial exchange between the two countries, especially in border zones.
Rezig, quoted by the communiqué, announced that his department will spare no efforts to proceed with consultations over the means to reinforce bilateral exchanges.
The minister highlighted the importance to value communication channels between Algerian and Libyan business-men, in addition to creating mechanisms as well as forging partnerships in the different domains, thus promoting exports apart from the hydrocarbon sector.
Dessertit praised the historic relations between the two countries, and commended the economic cooperation and the success of the Forum hosted by Algeria. This forum is a promising beginning to the bilateral economic relations. Dessertit also mentioned the incentives accorded by Algeria to Libyan economic operators, concluded the communiqué.
