ALGIERS- Algeria and Hungary explored Tuesday, in Algiers, cooperation opportunities in information and communication technologies (ICT),
in a bilateral symposium bringing together nearly fifty Algerian and twelve Hungarian companies.
The meeting is the second of its kind, following that of 2015 and which was dubbed “positive” by the two sides.
Seminars and meetings B 2 B will be organized as part of the Algerian-Hungarian ICT symposium, held this year under the theme of e-Governance, attended by Algerian and Hungarian firms operating in different ICT specialization.
The event is an opportunity for the attendees to discuss bilateral cooperation, investments and exchanges in a field the governments of the two countries have committed to further promote.
Algeria seeks to implement the new strategy for 2018-2020, which includes significant challenges like the improvement of services’ quality and the development of laws that contribute in drawing investors, said Mohamed Seddik, a top official at the ministry of Post, Telecommunications, Technologies and Digital.
“Algerian-Hungarian cooperation in the ICT field is getting boosted and the intergovernmental dialogue is gaining ground,” Hungary’s Ambassador Helga Pritz said in an opening address.
The symposium, she added, shows the commitment of both countries to developing informational and communication technologies in the two countries.
