Bensalah discusses, in Egypt, with Mauritanian President

ALGIERS- The Speaker of the Council of the Nation Abdelkader Bensalah held talks with Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdelaziz, on the sidelines of the World Youth Forum in Sharm El Sheikh,
in Egypt, said Monday a communiqué of the Council of the Nation.
The Mauritanian President asked Bensalah to convey “his greetings to his brother President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika, while welcoming the level of the relations between the two countries as well as the joint willingness to promote and extend them to other fields,” said the communiqué.
The two sides also broached “the current situations in the Arab world and Sahel, notably the fight against terrorism.”
Bensalah also met with Senegalese Prime minister. The two sides “reaffirmed the two countries’ willingness to support and promote the bilateral relations to better serve the peoples of the two countries and to work for the stability and security in the region.”
The Speaker of the Council of the Nation held talks with the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri with whom he broached the bilateral relations between the two countries in general, and particularly the two parliaments by exchanging the viewpoints concerning the crises in the Arab region, notably Syria, Yemen and Libya, in addition to the latest events in Lebanon.”
