26th SICOM opens in Algiers

ALGIERS-The 26th International Show of Computer Science, Office Supply and Telecom (SICOM) has opened Wednesday at the exhibition centre Pins maritimes (Algiers), with the participation of 80 companies operating in this field.
Companies from 4 countries (Austria, China, the United Arab Emirates and France) and many other foreign companies represented by their Algerian partners take part in this show which runs until next Sunday.
Many companies operating in the manufacturing of High Tech products in Algeria take part in this show, including those manufacturing smartphones and other tablets like Condor Electronics, which installed a giant screen at his stand showcasing its new product CWatch, a smart watch equipped with the most advanced technologies and its smartphone Allure 55 which brings many features.
Forever is another company operating in the assembly of satellite receivers from Setif that distinguished itself as it showcased several types of Full HD and Ultra HD/4K demodulators functioning with Android system.
For its part, HBTechnologies Company operating in the manufacturing of magnetic smart cards participates in this event which also brings together many suppliers of computer equipment as data centre, surveillance systems and computer networks).
The Ministry of Interior and Local Assemblies also participated in the show to present its experience in administration digitalization.
On this occasion, the Director General of Modernization of Administration at the Ministry, which inaugurated the show, told the press the participation the ministry in this major event aimed to present to professionals of the sector and the public the national strategy on public service modernization through the digitalization of all administrative documents with a view to achieving paperless administration.
Themed “Success of digital economy,” SICOM, devoted professionals of the sector, is a forum for innovative ideas and relevant debates between stakeholders (companies, administrations, public institutions, students, the public, etc…).
For this edition, SICOM will focus on the participation of companies operating in value and jobs creating activities due to the crisis the ICTs field witnesses, said the source.
Many issues relating to Big Data, Cloud Computing, Internet of Objects, data security, mobility and social networks will be at the heart of this 26th edition.
The show will feature a professional space of more than 4,500 m2 dedicated to workshops, e-employment and start-ups, as well as a 4,000 m2 retail space.
