Boukadoum meets with CNSP delegation in Bamako

ALGIERS-Minister of Foreign Affairs Sabri Boukadoum, dispatched by President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, held talks Sunday in Bamako with a delegation of the National Committee for the Salvation of the People (CNSP),
said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a communiqué.
Boukadoum held talks with the CNSP Chairman Assimi Goïta, Deputy-Chairman Malick Diaw and Ismael Wague.
“These talks provided an opportunity to discuss the situation in Mali in the light of the last consultations held in Mali and the decisions of the last summit of the Economic Committee of West African States (ECOWAS),” said the communiqué.
“The president of the Republic has repeatedly expressed Algeria’s interest in stability in Mali and its unwavering solidarity with the brotherly Malian people”, said Boukadoum.
In this regard, the FM expressed “Algeria’s willingness to continue supporting the Malian brothers, as it did in the past, in their efforts to engage in calm transition that meets the expectations of the brotherly Malian people and leads to the return of the constitutional order.”
Besides, Boukadoum held talks with the Head of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) Salah Ennadif and the Head of the African Union Mission for Mali and the Sahel (MISAHEL) Pierre Buyoya.
The talks focused “on the assessment of the situation in Mali and the coordination of their efforts to stabilize the region”, said the ministry’s communiqué.
