Serbian president highlights Algeria’s historical role in NAM’s creation

BELGRADE (Serbia)- President Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia on Monday put forward Algeria’s historical role in the “creation and support of the mission of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).”
In the audience granted to Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Aïmene Benabderrahmane, who is in Belgrade to take part in the summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), the Serbian President expressed his deep thanks to President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune “for Algeria’s active and productive participation in the Belgrade Summit.”
The two sides reiterated their desire to strengthen bilateral relations and examine ways to develop Algerian-Serbian cooperation in various fields, emphasizing the need for increased coordination among NAM member countries to address current challenges and promote the Movement’s role, as a major partner in international relations, in line with the principles of the Non-Aligned Movement.
The Prime Minister conveyed President Tebboune’s greetings and his congratulations for the organization of the summit to strengthen cooperation between the MNA countries, especially in the context of current challenges.
Prime Minister Aïmene Benabderrahmane represents President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune at the Commemorative Conference of the 60th anniversary of the Non-Aligned Movement (MNA), opened this Monday in the Serbian capital.
