ISTANBUL- President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, was honored on Wednesday by the Global Coalition for Palestine and El-Quds (GCQP) at the opening of its 13th Congress held in Istanbul, Turkey,
in recognition of Algeria’s role in unifying the Palestinian ranks as well as its tireless efforts in support of Palestine in addition to mobilizing Arab and international support for this cause.
The trophy was received by rector of Djamaâ El-Djazaïr, Mohamed Maâmoun Al Kacimi in the presence of Consul General of Algeria in Istanbul, Abdelghani Amara.
The World Conference of Visitors to Bayt Al Maqdis, organized under the slogan “Allies for its liberation,” in collaboration with the Al-Baraka Association for Humanitarian Action, is held in the presence of more than 500 participants from 67 countries in addition to leaders and heads of movements, bodies and institutions in the Islamic world and many scholars.
“Algeria responded to normalization by confirming that Palestine is a red line while trying to bring together the Palestinian component and strengthen the presence of this cause in Algeria at the 31st Arab Summit,” said at the opening session the SG of the GCQP, Mounir Said.
For his part, vice president of the GCQP, president of the association Al-Baraka, Ahmed Ibrahimi, said that “Algeria has taken a clear position by rejecting the crime of normalization.
The Palestinian cause is a central cause for Algeria, he added.
For his part, chairman of the Coalition, Hammam Said said that “actions in favor of El-Quds and the Al-Aqsa Mosque require huge efforts to be deployed by the countries and institutions of the Ummah, to achieve the liberation of Palestine.
“The inertia of Muslim peoples and official institutions concerned with the Al-Aqsa Mosque is more detrimental to the cause than the actions of extremist governments of occupation,” warned the SG of the International Union of Muslim Ulemas (IUMO), Ali Mahieddine Al Kara Daghi.
