MASCARA- The spokesman of the Palestinian Hamas Movement Sami Abou Zouhri welcomed Saturday, in Mascara, Algeria’s position vis-à-vis the Palestinian cause that he dubbed “distinguished” and “strong.”
In a statement to APS on the sidelines of a ceremony of solidarity with the Palestinian people organized by the provincial office of the charitable association “El Baraka,” Abou Zouhri underlined that the visits of Hamas’ leaders to Algeria express the great gratitude of the Palestinians for the Algerian official position and its people towards the Palestinian cause “which remains a strong and distinguished position.”
He said “my visit to Algeria comes to explain the stakes and dangers facing the Palestinian cause.”
Sami Abou Zouhri said that the total cancellation of US aid to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) is part of “the agreement of the century” launched lately into execution by the proclamation of occupied al-Quds as the capital of the Israeli occupier and the transfer of US embassy to the holy city and culminating in the withdrawal of the aid destined to the Palestinian refugees via UNRWA.
