The minister of Foreign Affairs and National community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, received a phone call from his brother, the Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, during which he congratulated Algeria on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi extended his warmest congratulations to Algeria for its election as a non-permanent member of the Security Council, wishing every success to our country during its term at this main UN body.
Attaf expressed his deep appreciation for the Sultanate of Oman’s support of Algeria’s membership bid.
He stressed Algeria’s priorities at the Security Council, and mainly the defence of the issues and priorities of the Arab nation, on top of which the Palestinian issue, and the contribution to the resolution of the crises shaking other Arab countries.
