We discussed the possibilities for tourism between the two countries, as well as the need for a direct flight between Algeria and Bulgaria, said the Deputy Prime Minister
“With the ambassador of Algeria Baya Bensmail, we discussed the possibility of strengthening economic relations between the two countries in various sectors, where cooperation has been delayed due to the covid crisis”, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Cornelia Ninova announced on her personal Facebook profile and shared a photo of the ambassador’s visit in the Ministry of Economy.
“Economy, infrastructure, agriculture, defense and the water sector are traditional spheres of interaction that have been well developed in the past and where it can start to be upgraded. We united around this opinion during the meeting. The ambassador of Algeria added that her country sees pharmacy and optics as spheres of mutual interest.
During the talks, the Algerian ambassador noted that the embassy’s number one goal is economic diplomacy work. I reminded that Algeria is perceived as the gateway to Africa.
We also discussed the possibilities for tourism between the two countries, as well as the need for a direct flight between Algeria and Bulgaria.
At the meeting, we also agreed on the restoration of the work of the Mixed Bulgarian-Algerian Committee for Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, which has not met for eight years,” said Ninova.
