Mr Attaf receives president of National Assembly of Congo
The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, received Monday, at the ministry’s headquarters, the president of the National Assembly of the Republic of Congo, Isidore Mvouba, who is on an official visit to Algeria.
The meeting was an opportunity to consider the relations of brotherhood and cooperation between Algeria and the Republic of Congo and the prospects for their strengthening, especially through Parliamentary diplomacy, a key factor in strengthening the rapprochement and convergence between the two countries.
The two sides welcomed the special nature of the bilateral relations, as they “are rooted in history” and receive special attention from the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his brother President Denis Sassou Nguesso.
The common commitment of the leaders of the two countries to the African continent and their concern to actively and effectively contribute to mobilizing the necessary support for meeting the challenges facing African states and peoples, in all fields and at all levels, were also underlined.
