Mr Attaf receives phone call from Egyptian counterpart
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf held Saturday phone talks with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdel Aty.
On this occasion, Attaf renewed his warm congratulations to his Egyptian counterpart on his recent appointment as top diplomat, and discussed with him the ways to foster brotherly ties and cooperation in various fields, in line with the instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his brother, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi.
Stressing the importance of boosting cooperation and partnership in economic fields, in line with the immense potential of both countries, the two sides agreed on “the need to activate the Grand Joint Commission by choosing a date for its next meeting as soon as possible.
The two FMs also agreed to bolster coordination on major Arab and African issues, on top of which the Palestinian cause, the situation in sisterly Libya and the Sahel-Sahara region.
