Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ahmed Attaf received on Saturday, at the ministry’s headquarters, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov.
Bogdanov’s visit to Algeria is part of the periodic political discussions between the two countries, in which he meets with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Saturday’s discussions provided an opportunity to review the bilateral cooperation and partnership relations. They also allowed for examining ways to further bolster and expand these ties in line with the aspirations of the two friendly countries.
The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common interest, with a focus on the situation in the Sahel-Saharan region and the serious developments of the Palestinian issue.
