Mr. Attaf receives ambassadors, representatives of five BRICS Group member states
Appointed by President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, received the ambassadors and representatives of the five member states of the BRICS group accredited in Algeria at the ministry’s headquarters on Sunday.
These include the ambassadors of China, Russia and India, as well as the chargés d’affaires at the embassies of Brazil and South Africa in Algeria.
These meetings are part of efforts to strengthen support for Algeria’s membership application to the BRICS group, in particular by promoting the advantages of this application, which is based on a strong political will on the part of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
In this regard, Attaf said that Algeria, with its known political militancy in promoting the values and principles on which and for which the BRICS organisation was founded, aims to make a qualitative contribution to the activity of this Group, in favour of peace, security, development and well-being at both regional and international level.
