Mr. Attaf holds phone conversation with UK counterpart on cooperation, coordination
The minister of Foreign Affairs and National community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, received Tuesday a phone call from the Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and United Nations at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), Lord Tariq Ahmad, with whom he discussed cooperation and coordination between the two countries.
The two ministers discussed the relations of cooperation and coordination between the two countries, ahead of Algeria’s non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council from the beginning of 2024, and the preparations for the next session of Algerian-UK strategic dialogue, to be held next November in London.
They also exchanged views and analysis on the developments of the Niger crisis, in the light of the settlement initiative proposed by the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The two officials mentioned the challenges facing the implementation process of the Agreement of Peace and Reconciliation in Mali, resulting from the process of Algiers.
