The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf held a bilateral meeting in Cairo on Wednesday with the Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, as part of his participation in the 161st session of the Council of the League at ministerial level.
The two sides reviewed the main items on the agenda of the ministerial meeting, particularly developments in the Palestinian cause.
Attaf informed Aboul Gheit of the steps and efforts taken by Algeria, from its seat on the Security Council, for a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the management of the catastrophic humanitarian situation caused by the Israeli aggression.
