Minister Attaf holds talks with Ethiopian counterpart in Addis Ababa
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf held talks Sunday in Addis Ababa with his Ethiopian counterpart, Taye Atske Selassie, on the sidelines of his participation as representative of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in the 37th ordinary session of the Conference of the African Union (AU) Heads of State and Government.
Attaf congratulated his Ethiopian counterpart during this meeting on his appointment as foreign minister and discussed ways to boost the privileged bilateral ties, in anticipation of the Algeria-Ethiopia joint Commission.
The two FMs focused on the current situation in their respective regions, in light of the increasing challenges of foreign interference, in its different forms, reiterating their commitment to the tradition of consultation and mutual support regarding issues of interest to the two brotherly countries, foremost among them decolonization in African and the consolidation of the foundation of peace, security and stability throughout the continent.
