Minister Attaf co-chairs with his Slovene counterpart inauguration ceremony of Algerian embassy in Ljubljana

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, co-chaired on Friday, with his Slovene counterpart, Tanja Fajon, the inauguration ceremony of the Algerian embassy in Ljubljana, as part of his working visit to the Republic of Slovenia, tasked by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of several Slovene officials, including the Secretary of State for Environment, Climate and Energy, and the Secretary of State to the Prime Minister’s Office and the CEO of Geoplin company, in addition to representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Slovenia and members of the national community in the friendly country.

The opening of the Algerian embassy in Ljubljana, following the opening of the Slovene embassy in Algiers last May, is part of the implementation of the high-level directives of both countries aimed at boosting bilateral diplomatic representation to the level of resident ambassadors. This initiative aims to support and keep pace with the increasing dynamism in bilateral relations at all levels and in various fields.

At the end of the inauguration ceremony, Mr Attaf and his Slovene counterpart signed the embassy’s golden register, expressing their aspiration for a new era in the history of friendship, cooperation and partnership relations between the two countries.
