CAIRO (Egypt)- Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel reiterated Tuesday in Cairo, Egypt, “Algeria’s consistent position in support of the Palestinian people and their right to enjoy their legitimate rights,
especially their right to establish an independent state over the border of 1967 with al-Quds (Jerusalem) as capital, in line with the international law and legitimacy.”
The minister, in an address at the 150th ordinary session of the Arab League Foreign Ministers Council, said “the Palestinian cause remains the main issue, and is the essence of the conflict in the region, in the light of Israeli occupation authorities’ ongoing aggressions and violations of the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights.”
Messahel stressed the latest Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, including the adoption of the Jewish State-nation law, trampling Palestinian people’s rights, including “the inalienable right to self-determination,” and “undermining the chances of resuming the peace process.”
