Messahel: Algeria ready to share experience in terms of de-radicalization
APS : TUESDAY 23 JANUARY 2018
ALGIERS – Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdelkader Messahel said Monday in Algiers that Algeria is ready to share its experience in terms of de-radicalization with further countries,
during the World Economic Forum of Davos (Switzerland).
Messahel, who will represent President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika at Davos Forum which will begin Tuesday, said that “Algeria is ready to share its useful experience in terms of de-radicalization and also its experience in reforms and policies.”
The Forum placed under the central theme “Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World” will be the occasion for the minister to present the Algerian experience related to its recent history marked by the national reconciliation, civil harmony and the settlement of its identity problems through the recognition of Tamazight as official language, and recently the declaration of Yennayer as national non-working holiday,” the minister told the National Radio’s channel III.
All those experiences “allowed us to strengthen the Algerian personality and identity based precisely on the concept of ‘Living together’.”
“We live in a zone of fractures, so there is an urgent need for stability and peace to be found. The more peace and stability we achieve in the southern shore, the more we will guarantee it in the northern one,” he added.
