ALGIERS-Foreing Affairs Minister Sabri Boukadoum held talks Tuesday, in Algiers, with Malian counterpart Tiébilé Dramé on the peace and reconciliation agreement in Mali, signed in 2015.
“We had the opportunity, at this meeting, to address this agreement,” said Boukadoum after extensive meetings with members of both delegations.
“Algeria has played an effective and leading role in the process of peace and reconciliation in Mali which has resulted in very positive outcomes.”
“We are about to implement this agreement between Malians and all parties, under the auspices of the international community, the United Nations and the European Union (EU),” he added.
“Mali is a brotherly country and its stability is an extension of security in Algeria and the whole region,” Boukadoum said.
