Libya praises Algeria's efforts to boost trust among Libyans

ALGIERS- The first vice president of the Presidential Council of Libya’s Government of National Accord, Ahmed Omar Maitiq, welcomed Tuesday Algeria’s efforts aimed at to “strengthening mutual trust among all Libyan parties.”
In a press briefing following the audience granted to him by Minister of Maghreb Affairs, African Union and Arab League Abdelkader Messahel, the Libyan official greeted “Algeria’s huge efforts to strengthen trust among the different Libyan parties,” stressing that those efforts have been “praised by the Presidential Council and the entire Libyan people.”
President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika has “always called for working for reconciliation among the Libyans and has been making efforts to bring views closer,” he said.
“All of the parties are aware that the political agreement is the foundation stone that all the efforts should make stronger.”
After he underlined the “improvement” of the situation in Libya, Omar Maitiq said the Presidential Council “makes significant efforts in this respect with the assistance of the neighbouring countries, including Algeria, which has played a role of paramount importance in terms of logistic support.”
