Algeria, France ink 9 cooperation agreements in various fields

ALGIERS-Algeria and France inked Sunday in Algiers nine (9) cooperation agreements in the fields of justice, education, higher education and social assurance, after the 3rd session of the Algeria-France High Level Intergovernmental Committee (CIHN).
This first document is an additional agreement to the Algerian-French judicial MoU inked in Paris in 28 August 1962. This agreement has been signed by Justice Minister Tayeb Louh and his French counterpart Jean Jaques-Urvoas.
In the field of education, three bilateral cooperation documents have been signed. The first relates to an amendment to the agreement between two countries on the international high school Alexandre Dumas inked in Algiers 21 October 2001 whereas the second amendment relates to the agreement between Algeria and France on the opening of a primary school for children of expatriate executives of companies inked in July 2006.
The third amendment inked by National Education minister Nouria Benghebrit and French Minister of National Education, Higher Education and Research Najat Valaud-Belkacem relates to the action plan inked on 19 June 2013 between both countries’ Education ministries.
A framework partnership convention for excellence PhD training in mathematics has been signed between the Algerian minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Tahar Hadjar and French minister for National Education and Higher Education and Research Najat Valaud-Belkacem.
Hadjer and Valaud-Belkacem also inked an amendment to the agreement between both countries’ governments on the creation of a High Business School inked on 13 July 2004.
In the health field, Health and Hospital Reform Minister Abdelmalek Boudiaf inked with his French counterpart Marisol Touraine an administrative arrangement.
Besides, a healthcare agreement appendix to the general convention between the Algerian and French governments on social security dated on 1 October 1980 has been inked, in addition to an administrative arrangement on implementation procedures of the healthcare agreement appendix to the general convention between the governments on social security.
