Mr Attaf, Equatoguinean counterpart hold talks
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, held bilateral talks on Sunday in Accra, Ghana, with his Equatoguinean counterpart, Simeon Oyono Esono Angue, which revolved around marshalling international support in favour of the common African stance on the Security Council reform. The meeting allowed both parties to discuss the means to mobilize international support in favour of the common African stance on the UN Security Council reform, ahead of participating in the upcoming high-level debate at the Security Council next month, and as part of implementing the conclusions of the Summit of the African Union Committee of Ten (C-10) Heads of State and Government that was held in Equatorial Guinea in November 2023 and the Ministerial Meeting in Algeria in January 2024.
