On the direction of the president of the Republic, the minister of foreign Affairs and National community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, received at the ministry’s headquarters, on Monday, the special advisor to the president of the Transition in the Republic of Burkina Faso, Drissa Sawadogo, who is on a working visit to Algeria as a special envoy.
Attaf received from his guest a written message to the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, from the president of the Transition in Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the bilateral relations between Algeria and Burkina Faso as well as the prospects for their strengthening, by setting the appropriate conditions to usher in a new era of economic cooperation and political coordination between the two countries.
The two sides also tackled the latest developments on the regional stage, mainly the security situation in the Sahel-Sahara region.
