Attaf received by Iranian president in Tehran

The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, was received Saturday by the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, as part of a working visit to that country under the instruction of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

In an audience at the headquarters of the Iranian presidency, Attaf conveyed the greetings of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to his brother, President Ebrahim Raisi, as well as a verbal message from President Tebboune, confirming the practical steps agreed upon by the two leaders during their phone conversations to enhance the Algerian-Iranian relations.

He reiterated Algeria’s support to the positive dynamics of the relations between Arab countries and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

For his part, President Ebrahim Raisi expressed his appreciation for Algeria’s development as a result of the comprehensive political, economic and social reforms led by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

President Raisi expressed his wish to increase bilateral contacts and work together with him to achieve their common desire to raise economic cooperation between the two countries to the level of the special political ties.

To give a concrete expression to this desire, President Ebrahim Raisi has invited his brother President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to pay a State visit to Tehran as soon as his schedule allows.
