Attaf meets with Germany’s vice-chancellor, minister of Economy

The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, met Friday in Berlin with Germany’s vice-chancellor and minister of Economy and Climate, Robert Habeck, with whom he discussed the Algerian-German economic partnership and the how to strengthen it, as part of a working visit to Germany under the instruction of the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

“At the end of his working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, on the instructions of the president of the Republic, the minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, met today, in Berlin, the German vice-chancellor and minister of Economy and Climate, Robert Habeck.

The discussions between the two sides focused on the Algerian-German economic partnership and how to enhance it, mainly in the light of the new projects the two sides want to carry out in renewable energy and green hydrogen.

Attaf welcomed the agreement concluded between Germany, Austria and Italy on the southern hydrogen project (SoutH2 Corridor), which will pave the way for an extended agreement within the European Union (EU) on the support of the project, meant to cover 10 % of Europe’s energy needs.
