Attaf hold discussions with UNDP administrator in New York
The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, held discussions with the administrator of the United National Development Programme (UNDP), Achim Steiner, as part of a working visit to UN headquarters in New York.
The two sides examined the cooperation between Algeria and the United National Development Programme and the prospects of its development, in the light of the priorities set by Algeria in terms of national development.
They also exchanged views on the ways and means to support economic development projects in neighboring countries, especially in the African Sahel.
The two officials also discussed energy transition and the promising opportunities offered by Algeria in the field,” stressing our country’s skills and capabilities as well as President Tebboune’s commitment to the diversification of energy sources and the development of sustainable renewable energies.
Attaf invited Achim Steiner to visit Algeria to continue their discussions and explore new fields of cooperation between Algeria and the UNDP.
